Oversees the COC and NapbC program for our Comprehensive Cancer Porgram
Job Description Details:
This position will work with all units in our Cancer Center. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida, however we will review those with experience in lieu of the RN license.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position will coordinate the management of Cancer related quality initiatives that align with the needs of the hospital. Duties including but not limited to:
- Reviewing patient's records to determine cancer status for reportability codes and sequences from the patient records all patient data items mandated by the American College of Surgeons, Florida Cancer Database and Holy Cross Cancer Committee
- Determining and assigning SEER and AJCC staging. Reports any major deviations in oncology coding and/or indicators.
- BSN is highly preferred
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum three (3) years experience is preferred
- Advanced Anatomy/Medical Terminology/Physiology is necessary.
- RN in state of Florida required.
- Quality or tumor registrar background highly preferred
