- WAREHOUSE JOB DESCRIPTION: Worker must be able to lift approx. 40lbs multiple times. Must be able to go up and down ladders as needed. Workers processing in warehouse will need to be able to bend over a table and sort out dead clams or oysters as well as rocks and other debris. Warehouse work also involves pulling out bags of oysters and clams out of the water and moving them with a cart to the processing building. Workers will pack 2, 5, 10 or 25 lb bags or manila or savory clams as well as 2, 5, or 10 dz bags of oysters and load into delivery truck via pallets and fork lifts
- HARVESTING JOB DESCRIPTION: Workers must be able to be bent over for long periods of times sorting out different sizes of oysters and putting them in different sized bags for processing. Must also be able to use a rake to dig manila clams or savory clams, also in a bent over state. The bags of oysters and clams are tied to lines with a buoy attached. After the tide comes in then the workers will take a boat or barge on the water to pull the bags out of the water to bring to warehouse processing.
Sunday through Monday; hours will vary based on tide cycles; shift schedules will be provided.
