Position will work out of the Lovingston, VA or Palmyra, VA Office (whichever location closer to the applicant's home).
Position requires travel to all 3 Division Offices: Lovingston, Palmyra and Appomattox (a company vehicle will be available for travel)
The full-time Operations Department Coordinator position assists the Operations Department in coordinating service orders, work orders, construction and maintenance (I&M) activities; while ensuring that the Cooperative is completing member work requests in a timely manner:
Key Responsibilities Include: Scheduling construction and electrical service appointments for Division Superintendents; Researching/compiling information to respond to consumer/member inquiries; Providing consumers/members with requested information and project schedules; Managing/responding to calls for Division Superintendents; Managing the Cooperative's VA811 (Miss Utility) program; Preparing reports and correspondence for Operations personnel; Recording and forwarding electrical inspection information to Superintendents ensuring timely completion of electric service; Coordinating with Engineering Design (Staking Personnel) and Division Superintendents to prioritize work; Issuing Service Orders to Field Crews or Servicemen; Assisting Division Superintendents during large scale power outages; Working with the Communications Department, Division Superintendents, Forester and Contractors to coordinate consumer/member communication regarding outages and work activities affecting electrical service or property; Coordinating travel, accommodations, per diem and any necessary registration for schools and conferences for Operations Dept. Personnel.
