Description: Under the Supervision of the Sec. of Interior, the Environmental Director and Environmental Specialist II. Environmental Specialist I will conduct Environmental Reviews and do Lead Based Paint testing for the Muscogee Creek Nation and the MCN Housing Division. Inspect and write reports on New Construction sites and Modernizations sites/projects for single and multiple family dwellings.
Seeking an Environmental
Must be able to read & locate legal descriptions and plats sites using state, county, city, topo and flood maps. Must be able to locate physical sites and give accurate directions to sites.
Inspection of sites for environmental issues including flood plains, railroads, noise levels, soil, water and accessibility for new constructions and renovations.
Prepare and submit reports on all sites inspected and all lead hazard testing conducted for review by the Environmental Services Department Director.
Perform other duties as required, other duties may include assignments in job classifications other than their own.
Be able to conduct water samples in creeks, rivers, and other water bodies.
Be able to drive large trucks that require a CDL.
Associates Degree from a two year college or university and a minimum of three years related work experience and/or training; or an equivalent of combination of education and work experience.
Must have a valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License.
1 to 3 years work experience with EPA, ODEQ or other related Federal Government or Tribal Agency.
