The Portland Office of City Attorney seeks a highly qualified employment litigation attorney with a minimum of seven years advising on and litigating employment cases in state and federal courts. Attorney will be responsible for all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, conducting all aspects of discovery, court appearances, settlement negotiations and trial work. This attorney will also provide advice on a variety of federal, state and local employment matters, including but not limited to ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, and USERRA. The position requires excellent written and oral-advocacy communication skills, proficiency in time management, the ability to manage a challenging caseload, and the flexibility to work both independently and as a team member.
